The Yoga Friends School – USA has a basis in teachings of Master CVV. This great being is also called “The Avatar of Synthesis” because he is a central channel for the distribution of the Energy of Synthesis. For a complete description of this energy and the life of Master CVV please refer to the book The Aquarian Master by Sri K. Parvathi Kumar, available at Amazon.com.
A major work of the Master CVV was to arrange for students themselves to become channels for the energy of Synthesis for their own enlightenment, that of their environment, and for the planet itself. For this purpose, the Master CVV arranged for the abbreviation of His name – CVV – as a sound key (mantra), or prayer, for the invocation of the Energy of Synthesis. Followers of this path are asked to invoke the sound key CVV twice daily, preferably at 6 AM and 6 PM or at a regular 12-hour interval that works for them. It is helpful to take a few deep breaths, relaxing the body. Many students sound the OM three times and then proceed to softly utter the mantra
Namaskarams Master,
Namaskarams Master CVV,
Namaskarams Master CVV to your lotus feet
Some like to picture the Master CVV, looking into His eyes or seeing Him at the heart or brow center. Some like to use the one picture he allowed for this purpose. See below for this image. Having done this procedure, the meditator observes the movements of consciousness and energy within one’s subtle bodies. A period of fifteen minutes of silent observation is sufficient at first this inner work.
This is the first and most basic form of the CVV meditation. In the years after the basic meditation was given more complex and longer meditation forms were given and a different meditation for morning and evening meditation was given.
We suggest that you start simply disciplining your life pattern for the twice a day short form meditation and then after time perhaps moving on to loner forms. Meanwhile, the basic work is to Serve Humanity in whatever place and circumstance you find yourself!
